LOCATIONS

Welcome to Marketime Foods, a hidden culinary gem nestled in the vibrant Fremont neighborhood of Seattle at 4416 Fremont Ave N. This charming grocery store has garnered a reputation as a “bougie grocery store,” a local term affectionately coined by patrons like Jess B., who appreciate the unique offerings and quality products available here. With a phone number at (206) 632-8958, Marketime is easy to reach, and even easier to fall in love with.

What sets Marketime Foods apart? For starters, it combines the best of both worlds: a curated selection of high-end local products and the convenience of a neighborhood market. The reviews speak volumes about the delightful variety offered within its well-organized aisles:

  • In-House Specialties: From fresh, house-made salsas to delectable deli pork, customers rave about the quality of the prepared foods. Shweta T. mentions the extensive selection, with a particular nod to local bakery breads that transport you straight into the heart of Seattle’s culinary scene.
  • Alcohol Selection: A visually stunning array of wines, craft beers, and hard alcohols keep patrons coming back—Chuck M. even found unique selections he can't source back home!
  • Convenience: Whether you’re grabbing pre-wrapped deli sandwiches or artisanal frozen pizzas, Marketime is perfect for a quick stop when you need to dash in and out, as Coco R. aptly points out.
  • Local Love: Choosing Marketime also means supporting local farmers and artisans. With fresh produce options and wild-caught fish, you can feel good about where your food comes from—an essential ingredient in today’s thoughtful dining experience.

The atmosphere at Marketime Foods is what truly makes shopping here a delightful experience. Maggie B. describes it as peaceful, a stark contrast to the overwhelming big-box grocery stores most of us are accustomed to. As you browse through the aisles, you might just find a new favorite—like Luke K.'s beloved breakfast tacos from Sunrise Tacos, which sell out fast, so be sure to get in early!

While it may be considered pricier than conventional grocery stores, Marketime Foods is more than just a shopping destination; it embodies a community spirit. Eric N. calls for bike parking, and his enthusiasm for this quaint market speaks a truth many feel: this is a place where doing your grocery shopping feels like an enjoyable outing, not a chore. Every visit to Marketime feels like a journey into the heart of the local food scene—one that involves supporting small businesses and indulging in quality ingredients.

So, whether you're on the hunt for gourmet sauces, comforting soups on a rainy day, or a feel-good shopping experience, Marketime Foods is ready to welcome you with open arms—showcasing everything that makes this quaint corner of Seattle truly special.

I call this the "Bougie grocery store" in the neighborhood. I can get a few things here I can get at PCC or QFC. And I really like the in house salsas and pork they sell in the deli. Great selection of wines, beer and craft alcohols. Hence, why I call it the bougie store. Easy parking lot too.

This is a cute grocery store that we're lucky to have in the Fremont neighborhood! It is a bit pricey but you're paying for fresh, local food and supporting a local business instead of a giant big box grocer, so I think it's worth the spend every once in a while. The layout of the store is nice and I always feel at peace shopping here whereas larger stores sometimes stress me out.

Stayed nearby in an Abnb on a recent visit. Great little store to have in the neighborhood. Prices didn't seem too bad. Great liquor selection, stuff I can't usually find back home.

This is a to store to get in and out quickly. I like their pre-wrapped deli sandwiches and frozen pizzas. It is too high priced to buy groceries everyday, but for small items that I need last minute, it is great! The wine selection is good and reasonably priced for a small corner store.

I love this place! The only improvement would be dedicated bicycle parking. I'd shop now often if I had a secure place to lock up.

I LOVE this place! I live about twenty minutes northeast from it and still sometimes come all this way because it's so cute, the people who work there are so nice, and it's an all-around lovely place. Lots of prepared foods in the deli and they feature bread from local bakeries.

A great well-rounded selection of staples, and higher-end local stuff. Yes, if you did all of your grocery shopping here it might be expensive, but I stop in mostly for the following - The sauces! Such a great selection of local hot sauces, and I was really excited to see they have Kewpie mayo and Bachan's Japanese BBQ sauce. - House-made soups. It's soup season, so I've been stopping in for these for a while now. I particularly love the creamy tomato. - The deli, but particularly the breakfast tacos! They carry tacos by Sunrise Tacos, a great local company. The Mt. Bakon taco is my favorite, but be sure to get here before 10 as they sell out! - Great alcohol selection, especially the beer and cider.

Cute friendly, neighborhood market. Nice how they have an index card box for keeping track of your coffee purchases. Fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables, wild caught fish and bakery items. Great place for picking up dinner or groceries.
